"Emma was very thorough in unpicking the history of the behaviour that my pony was exhibiting. She used videos to establish a sense of feel for the layout of the yard and to witness the dynamics of the behaviour in action. Zoom meetings were used to gain an understanding of me personally and my views on the behaviour and the pony. Her consultation advice was delivered in a sensitive but authoritative manner that helped me feel entirely supported but with a much better understanding of what I could do to reduce Dolly's stress levels. Emma stayed in touch as I made changes and alterations, and was genuinely interested. She displayed calmness and good humour, a real knack of getting to the heart of matters and empathy with the horse whilst retaining a sound working relationship with me as an owner. Although I had some trepidation that I was going to feel uncomfortable in the first advisory session this was totally not the case as Emma displays great sensitivity and delivers information and advice in a supportive and understanding manner. She is just totally lovely to talk to. My pony has improved massively, and I am now able to look at her environment with new eyes, assessing all her stressors and adjusting things accordingly. Rather than Dolly's behaviour being 'just Dolly and how she has always been' I recognise and accept that she has been under chronic stress for most of her life. Emma's work with me has opened my eyes to many behaviours that are accepted as quirky actually being signs of distress from the horse. I thank her deeply for her time and support, her professionalism and her dedication to making the lives of equines better." - Kathryn, Dolly's owner.
